Anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero" Season 2 Production Decided! Ultra Teaser Visual & PV Featuring Xylo and Patausche Unveiled

The long-awaited Season 2 production of the TV anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004" has been decided. To commemorate this, an ultra teaser visual and Season 2 production announcement PV have been released.

This information was revealed during the "TV Anime 'Sentenced to Be a Hero' Penal Hero Unit 9004 AnimeJapan Stage Records" held at the BLUE STAGE of "AnimeJapan 2026." The ultra teaser visual depicts Patausche Kivia, who faced the shocking development of becoming a penal hero in the final episode of Season 1, along with Xylo Forbartz, Teoritta, and others heading toward a new mission.

Following the decision to produce Season 2, delighted comments from the original creators have also arrived. Original author Rocket Shokai expressed joy with humor, saying, "To express this joy to the fullest, I would like to go eat a special ramen set right now." Mephisto, who is in charge of the original illustrations, commented, "In Season 1, all the main characters had just been introduced and it was at the point where things were about to get exciting...! so I'm very happy to be able to see the continuation."

At the same stage, a completely new game adaptation project "Sentenced to Be a Hero -Game of the GODDESS-" was also unveiled, with a teaser PV and teaser KV released. KADOKAWA will serve as publisher for this title, with VIC GAME STUDIOS handling development.
