New Anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" Set to Premiere in October; KV, Staff & Cast Announcement Met with Huge Response: "The BGM is Absolutely Divine" and "No Objections to the Casting"

The official website and official X account for "Magic Knight Rayearth" announced that the TV anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" will begin broadcasting every Wednesday at 11:45 PM on TV Asahi networks starting in October. Along with this announcement, a teaser PV and key visual were released, and the main cast was revealed as Hikaru Shido (CV: Ayane Sakura), Umi Ryuzaki (CV: Rumi Okubo), and Fu Hououji (CV: Rie Takahashi), generating significant buzz.

This information was announced at the special stage of "AnimeJapan 2026" held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 28. The released teaser PV features footage from the main series for the first time. The video captures the moment when three girls who meet at Tokyo Tower are suddenly transported to another world and face the world as Magic Knights.

The key visual accompanying the official X post features the catchphrase "A believing heart is your strength," depicting the gallant figures of Hikaru Shido, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fu Hououji holding their swords. Around them dances the mysterious creature Mokona, and in the background are positioned what appear to be Princess Emeraude and High Priest Zagato, who hold the key to the story. It can also be confirmed that a spectacular staff lineup has assembled, including Yui Miura as director, Shigeru Murakoshi as series composition, Satomi Watabe as character designer, Yuki Kajiura, Shiho Terada, and Takumi Ozawa as composers, and E&H production handling animation production.
