The release date for the theatrical anime Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, the concluding chapter of the "Rascal Does Not Dream" series, has been set for October 16. A teaser PV was released alongside the announcement.

The Rascal Does Not Dream (Seishun Buta Yaro) series is based on the popular light novel by Hajime Kamoshida, which has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. It is a coming-of-age fantasy following the protagonist, Sakuta Azusagawa, and girls who develop "Puberty Syndrome"—a mysterious phenomenon triggered by the volatile emotions unique to adolescence.

The release date was announced on March 29 (Sun) during a special stage event at "AnimeJapan 2026." To coincide with the date announcement, new illustrations were unveiled featuring Sakuta Azusagawa in casual clothes and Mai Sakurajima in a stage outfit, heightening anticipation for the series' grand finale.

Furthermore, the first wave of "Mubiticke" (Movie Ticket) cards with exclusive bonuses will go on sale at participating theaters nationwide starting April 3 (Fri). The bonus is a "mini shikishi-style illustration card" newly drawn by Director Soichi Masui and Character Designer Satomi Tamura.

Additionally, in the lead-up to the series finale, a "Memorial Visual" project has been confirmed, showcasing memories of the heroines who have appeared throughout the story. The first visual was unveiled on Aniplex's YouTube channel on March 29 (Sun) at 8:00 PM, with subsequent visuals scheduled for release every Sunday at 8:00 PM.
