At the NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan booth during "AnimeJapan 2026," the "Finale Broadcast Celebration Stage: Won't You Join Our 'Voice-youth'?" event was held. During the event, a new key visual and a special video announcing the production of Season 2 of the anime Tune In to the Midnight Heart were released.
The series is based on the popular manga by Masakuni Igarashi, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha). It is a "Voice-youth" (Seishun) romantic comedy following high school girls in the broadcasting club—aspiring singers, voice actors, VTubers, and announcers—striving toward their voice-related dreams, and the protagonist who struggles alongside them to make those dreams come true.
The stage featured the full main cast: Rikuya Yasuda (voice of Arisu Yamabuki), Momoko Seto (voice of Rikka Inohana), Rumi Okubo (voice of Nene Himekawa), Sayumi Suzushiro (voice of Iko Kirino), and Miku Ito (voice of Shinobu Uzuki). Having just finished the broadcast of the final episode, the cast engaged in an enthusiastic retrospective talk.
The segment was titled the "Voice Trajectory Corner," named after the ending theme song by Soala. The cast looked back on the "trajectories" of their various challenges related to their characters' dreams. They shared memories of Rikuya Yasuda’s (Arisu Yamabuki) Mt. Fuji climbing challenge, "Praying for a Hit! Arisu Yamabuki's Midnight Dream Climb," Momoko Seto’s (Rikka Inohana) guitar performance as an aspiring singer, and Rumi Okubo’s (Nene Himekawa) visit to her alma mater for the project "Infiltrating a Voice Acting School! Supporting the Dream of Becoming a Voice Actor!"
Representing the aspiring VTuber, Sayumi Suzushiro (Iko Kirino) took on a live gaming challenge on stage titled "Trying Out a VTuber Gaming Stream," alongside Rikuya Yasuda. Additionally, Miku Ito (Shinobu Uzuki), who plays the aspiring announcer, performed a "Real Confession Proxy" segment—a recreation of a scene from Episode 5—where she read out romantic confessions submitted by fans via the official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Furthermore, the Season 2 production announcement visual and special video were unveiled. The special video is an emotional piece that transitions from the scene in Episode 12 where the heroines look up at the sunset and murmur, "It's so beautiful," into the new Season 2 visual, hinting at the future of the broadcasting club. The visual depicts the girls of the Karin High School Broadcasting Club running along the beach toward a glowing sunset.
