[Photos/Images] "The intensity is insane!" "The visual is too strong to look at directly!" Fans rejoice as new Yūta Okkotsu illustration from "Jujutsu Kaisen" appears on the cover of anan 1st

The official X account for the magazine "anan" has unveiled the cover of the "anan No. 2490 Special Edition," set for release on April 1. Yūta Okkotsu, a character from "Jujutsu Kaisen," graces the cover, sparking a massive conversation.

According to the account's post, ahead of today's final episode of the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Arc (Part 1)," the Special Grade Sorcerer Yūta appears in a newly drawn illustration for the magazine's "Health & Wellness Awards" feature. The revealed cover image depicts Yūta in an imposing stance, looking down coldly at an opponent as he prepares to draw his sword. The cover is accompanied by the catchphrase "Unrivaled Combative Spirit."

Following the cover's reveal, fans flooded the post with praise: "Congratulations on the cover, Yūta-kun!", "Yūta is way too cool!", "The intensity of this new Yūta illustration is insane," and "The visual is so strong I can't even look at it directly." Voices of anticipation are rising even from those who don't usually buy the magazine, with comments like "I have no choice but to buy this!" and "This might be my first time buying anan."

The anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. The story begins when Yūji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, transfers to the "Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School," an institution dedicated to fighting curses. The original manga concluded in 2024. In September 2025, a spinoff titled "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)," written by Akutami and illustrated by Yūji Iwasaki, began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) and reached its final chapter on March 9, 2026.
