Nippon Sangoku The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun Anime ED Theme to be "Chikai" by Leina! Additional Cast Including Ayumu Murase, Episode 1 Synopsis, and Preview Stills Released

The pre-broadcast special visual, the third trailer, and the synopsis and preview stills for Episode 1 of the TV anime Nippon Sangoku The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun have been released. The ending theme for the series has been titled "Chikai" (The Vow), a newly written track by singer-songwriter Leina, which can be heard in the latest trailer. Furthermore, it was announced that Kenyu Horiuchi, Shuichiro Umeda, Shunsuke Sakuya, and Ayumu Murase will join the cast. The series is set to begin its world-earliest streaming on Prime Video on April 5, 2026.

Set in a near-future post-apocalyptic Japan that has split into three nations and returned to a "Warring States" era, the story follows the journey of a young man named Aoteru Misumi, who aims to reunify the country. Based on the manga by Ikka Matsuki, the series is currently serialized on Shogakukan’s comic app Manga One and the web comic site Ura Sunday, with a total circulation exceeding 1 million copies.

The newly released special visual was drawn by Studio Kafka. it depicts the protagonist Aoteru Misumi standing alongside Yoshitsune Asama with the Tsutenkaku Tower—the symbol of Osaka, the capital of Yamato—in the background. The visual captures the beginning of their journey to reunify Japan, showcasing Aoteru, who represents "wisdom," and Yoshitsune, who embodies "might," utilizing their respective talents.

The third trailer features the ending theme "Chikai" by Leina. Set against the eve of war with the foreign power known as the "Seii," the video depicts the power struggle within Yamato involving Denki Taira, Tonotsugu Taira, and the "Frontier General Army," as well as the strengthening unity of the Seii under their leader, Oga Wajima. It provides a glimpse into the start of a battle that will determine the fate of the nation.

Living in the countryside of Ehime Prefecture in the nation of Yamato, a young man named Aoteru Misumi spends his modest and peaceful days working in agriculture as a farming official alongside his wife, Saki. One day, a grand and intimidating cavalry unit, resembling a feudal lord's procession, appears before them. Stepping out from an especially lavish carriage is Denki Taira, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the de facto ruler of Yamato.
