Meeting a Black Cat That Speaks Human Language... Anime "The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch" Episode 1 Synopsis & Advance Cuts Released

Advance cuts and synopsis for Episode 1 of the anime "The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch" have been released.

This work is a magical academy fantasy based on the manga of the same name by Yosuke Kaneda, who also created "Boarding School Juliet." It has been serialized in "Magazine Pocket" (Kodansha) since March 16, 2022, and the manga volumes are currently published up to Volume 14. The story depicts Spica Virgo, a "witch apprentice" who cannot use magic, and a mysterious black cat that speaks human language and uses magic, forming a secret master-disciple relationship.

The anime will begin broadcasting in consecutive 2-cours starting April 12 on the "Agaru Anime" slot across 28 CBC/TBS-affiliated stations nationwide, and will be distributed sequentially on various platforms starting April 17.

Spica, who dreams of becoming a first-class magician, practices magic every day but only fails. One day, she meets a black cat that speaks human language, and in exchange for learning magic, she agrees to search for a book to break the black cat's curse.
