The broadcast start date and time for the TV anime "Chainsmoker Cat" has been set for Thursday, July 2. It will air every Thursday at 24:30 (12:30 AM) on TOKYO MX and BS11.

In conjunction with the announcement of the broadcast schedule, a key visual set in a back alley has been released, featuring Yani Neko, Yaku Neko, Hame Neko, Kansai Neko, Al Neko, and Ochimpo Tatsuro.

Additionally, six new cast members have been announced as part of the second wave of character information. Misato Matsuoka will play Yaku Neko, a junior who admires Yani Neko. Yurie Funato will voice Hame Neko, a fighting gamer and video streamer. Ayaka Shimizu will play Kansai Neko, a college student who speaks in a Kansai dialect. Furthermore, Shiori Izawa will voice the heavy-drinking college student Al Neko, Riko Akechi will play the professional manga artist Ochimpo Tatsuro, and Tetsu Inada will voice the Apartment Manager (Landlord).

The series is based on the manga by Nyan-Nyan Factory, currently serialized in Kodansha's "Young Magazine." Set in a world where humans and beastmen coexist, the story focuses on Yani Neko, a beastman who lives for smoking. It depicts the daily lives of "trash cats"—cats who have no money or life skills, have abandoned manners and morals, and live in lazy decadence.
