[Photos/Images] "Tamon-kun Withdrawal" Sparks Desperate Pleas for a Sequel! Special Commemorative Illustration for the Tamon's B-Side Finale Draws Massive Reaction: "Buying the Whole Manga Set" and "Thank You for the God-Tier Art" 1st

The official X account for the TV anime Tamon's B-Side has released a special commemorative illustration drawn by Yoko Ito, the character designer and chief animation director, which is currently generating significant buzz.

The released image features the protagonist, Utage Kinoshita (CV: Saori Hayami), and Tamon Fukuhara (CV: Sho Hatano), accompanied by a "Thank you for watching!" message. Utage is dressed in her signature white tokko-fuku (fan coat), wearing a beaming smile while holding a fan and a penlight emblazoned with Tamon's name. Beside her stands Tamon in his usual loungewear—a black hoodie and sandals—shyly holding a fan featuring his "Ike-hara" (handsome mode) persona. This "Jime-hara" (gloomy mode) version of Tamon, perfectly capturing his naturally low self-esteem, is an adorable piece that fans find truly irresistible.

In response to this illustration marking the conclusion of the final episode, fans flooded the post with messages of gratitude: "I was so happy every week," "The finale was so good I’m speechless... their relationship is just too precious," and "Thank you for the god-tier animation." Furthermore, comments expressing "Tamon-kun withdrawal" and a longing for a sequel have already begun pouring in, with fans saying, "Please give us a Season 2!" and "I can't bear the thought of not seeing them next week... it's too painful, so I'm going to buy the entire manga series."

Tamon's B-Side is a romantic comedy based on the manga of the same name by Yuki Shiwasu. The story follows high schooler Utage Kinoshita, a massive fan of Tamon Fukuhara from the super-popular idol group "F/ACE." One day, Utage heads to her part-time housekeeping job, only to find that the house belongs to none other than Tamon himself. To her shock, despite his sexy and wild idol persona, Tamon’s true self is "Jime-hara"—an extremely negative person with rock-bottom self-esteem. The series has gained popularity for its depiction of her unpredictable daily life living with her favorite idol.
