ABEMA has announced that Poppin-Play Kitchen (Original Concept, Direction, Script, and Production by Zemyata), the first original anime pilot film released under its "Project PRISMation"—a project aimed at creating original works alongside next-generation anime creators—has been nominated for the "47th Annual Telly Awards" in the People's Telly category.

Now in its 47th year, the Telly Awards were established in 1979 to honor excellence in video and television content broadcast worldwide. Winners are selected by the "Telly Awards Judging Council," which consists of leading professionals in entertainment, publishing, advertising, and broadcast technology industries.

Poppin-Play Kitchen, nominated for the "People's Telly" category—where the Gold winner is decided by online public voting—is an original anime pilot born from ABEMA's "Project PRISMation," which launched in December 2025. The film's creator, Zemyata, is a Thailand-based artist who has gained significant popularity among the project's inaugural creators for their vivid color palettes and a "dark-pop" worldview.

The film surpassed 1 million total views on YouTube within just 10 days of its release, drawing intense attention for its unique style with comments such as "So thrilling," "The quality is insane," "Genius visuals and composition," and "It’s cute and pop, yet wonderful horror." The work has resonated not only in Japan but also internationally, with many overseas fans commenting, "I’ve encountered something incredible," "Can't wait for more," and "So glad to see indie anime trending in Japan."

Regarding the nomination, Zemyata expressed their joy: "I am truly happy that our small project has come this far, and I can't wait to see how much further we can go with all of you watching! Your vote would mean more to us than anything!"

"Project PRISMation" is a project that collaborates with creators who distribute animation individually or in small, elite teams to co-produce original pilot films. It supports the creation of stories that linger in the hearts of viewers and provides a creative environment that inspires artists. The name is derived from "PRISM" and "Animation," symbolizing a place where diverse talents gather and shine as a brilliant work of art, much like white light dispersing into a spectrum of colors through a prism. In addition to ongoing collaborations, a new public call for project proposals from both Japan and abroad is scheduled to begin around May. Details will be announced in due course.
