On the official DANDADAN X (formerly Twitter) account, a special illustration celebrating the series' 5th anniversary has been released by Naoki Fujita, the author of BEAT & MOTION, sparking a huge buzz among fans.

The monochrome illustration features Momo Ayase and Aira Shiratori from DANDADAN standing side-by-side with their arms crossed, accompanied by the handwritten message "Congrats!! 5th Anniversary!!" Positioned between the two is a small, cute, "chibi" version of the series' protagonist, Ken Takakura—better known as Okarun.

Along with the artwork, Fujita shared an enthusiastic message: "I love the battles Tatsu-sensei draws, of course, but I also love the rom-com developments!! Reading DANDADAN on Tuesdays will continue to be part of my weekly routine!!!"

Fans on social media have flooded the post with praise, with comments like "This is super cool!", "What a beautiful illustration!", and "BEAT & MOTION is amazing too!" Additionally, DANDADAN creator Yukinobu Tatsu responded via a quote repost, stating, "Fujita-san, thank you so much for the celebratory illustration! I love BEAT & MOTION as well!"

DANDADAN is a manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu currently being serialized on Shonen Jump+. The story follows Momo, a high school girl born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After visiting supernatural hotspots to prove the existence of what they each believe in, they find themselves caught in an "occultic youth story" where they must face a constant stream of ghosts and aliens. The series has gained massive popularity for its overwhelming artistic quality and unpredictable plot, with a TV anime adaptation currently airing.
