New "Super Fierce Battle Trailer" for "Dragon Ball Super: Beerus" Unveiled! Comments from Masako Nozawa, Koichi Yamadera, and More Arrive

At the "Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026" currently being held in Los Angeles, USA, the "DRAGON BALL SUPER SPECIAL PANEL" took place on April 19 local time (April 20 JST). During the event, the "Super Fierce Battle Trailer," featuring brand-new footage from the anime Dragon Ball Super, was revealed for the first time.

Dragon Ball Super is an anime series featuring the original story and character designs by Akira Toriyama. This particular project is being produced as an "Enhanced Version," utilizing the latest visual technology to restructure the story, add significant new cuts, and re-animate key sequences. It is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Fuji TV this fall.

The newly released trailer depicts an overwhelming, universe-scale battle between Son Goku and Beerus, the God of Destruction. The footage showcases the sheer power and immersive quality made possible by the "Enhanced Version's" upgraded visual style. Furthermore, the end of the video features a glimpse of Frieza, seemingly awaiting his moment of resurrection.

During the panel, a surprise video featuring comments from the voice cast and production staff was also shared. Koichi Yamadera, the voice of Beerus, the God of Destruction, expressed his excitement for the character, stating, "I was genuinely happy to see Beerus's name included in the title." His English dub counterpart, Jason Douglas, also sent a message to fans worldwide, saying, "I’m really looking forward to seeing Beerus in action."

Executive Producer Akio Iyoku described Beerus as "an entity of immense power who evokes a sense of awe—a god whose next move is always unpredictable." He revealed that the production team is "fully focused on using the latest visual techniques to ensure everyone can truly savor Beerus’s presence and charm," which serves as the driving force of the story.

Additionally, Masako Nozawa, the voice of Son Goku, commented on the newly unveiled trailer: "That high-intensity battle between Goku and Beerus was such a surprise, wasn't it! It was so cool! And then at the very end... that Frieza made an appearance...!" Her words about the anticipation for the battles depicted in this "Enhanced Version" sent a wave of excitement through the venue.
