Popular characters "Opanchu Usagi" and "Npochaumu" to get a 3D anime! Teaser PV also released

The popular characters "Opanchu Usagi" and "Npochamu," created by the creator "KAWAISOUNI!", are set to be adapted into a 3D anime. The title will be "KAWAISOUNI! Theater."

"Opanchu Usagi" is a creature living on Earth. Although she takes on various challenges, things rarely go her way. Her unrewarded efforts have earned her the description "fubin-kawaii" (pitifully cute), making her a hit primarily among Gen Z. Her illustrations, short manga, and short videos are currently being distributed. "Npochamu" is a yogurt fairy who ends her sentences with "chamu." Her reliable bestie, "Kimimaro," provides quick support whenever Npochamu gets into trouble.

In the "Popular Character Ranking Chosen by Teenage Girls" by Mynavi Corporation, "Opanchu Usagi" took first place in both 2024 and 2025. "Npochamu" also ranked third in 2024. With various character goods expanding worldwide, this marks the long-awaited anime adaptation of these immensely popular characters.

The anime "KAWAISOUNI! Theater" is scheduled to air nationwide in Japan starting March 30 (Mon) during a segment of the renewed morning news program "ZIP!" on Nippon TV (broadcasting Mon-Fri, 5:50 AM to 9:00 AM *excluding some regions). The program is broadcast under the concept: "Find what you want to see, a fun morning."

Along with the announcement, a teaser PV and sneak-peek scenes from the anime currently in development have been released. This work is completely newly written by "KAWAISOUNI!", covering everything from the script to the storyboards. Furthermore, a comment and illustration have arrived from "KAWAISOUNI!".
