Director: Yuki Igarashi
"I have poured my respect for Osamu Tezuka's 'Princess Knight' and its roots in Ichizo Kobayashi's Takarazuka Revue into this project, aiming to create the ultimate quintessential entertainment. They also created their works by overcoming hardships like infectious diseases and wars, forming the foundation of our culture. To everyone living in this era, please enjoy this thrilling, classic entertainment."

"I have been thinking about two things: showing my full respect for Master Osamu Tezuka and figuring out what is needed to design this new work as a modern illustrator. I aimed for a design that is uniquely mine without leaning too far in either direction. It is a true honor to be involved in such a delicate and powerful, wonderful work for my first animation job. I hope you all look forward to it!"

"I love Yuki Igarashi’s work, so when the project first started, I was just hanging around, helping out a bit and doodling. Then I saw Kei Mochizuki’s original designs—they were insane. Then Cédric’s art was mind-blowing. I thought, 'I want to see more of this production, just a little more...' and I completely missed my chance to step back. Somehow, I ended up being in charge of the character designs. I guess things like that happen. But I'm truly glad I could be a part of this work. I mean that from the bottom of my heart."

"I was surprised when the project was first introduced to me. I didn't expect the characters to be so much cooler than the original. I tried to challenge myself to create a unique worldview that matches the characters. It was fun to come up with various images! I would be happy if, after watching the movie, viewers are left with a variety of feelings, like 'It's warm but somehow scary,' 'Is that allowed?' or 'That was quite a journey!'"
