First Anime Footage Revealed for the July 2026 Broadcast of My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked! Main Visual and PV Unveiled

The main visual and teaser PV have been released for the TV anime My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked, which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in July 2026.

This series is based on the popular comic by Otsuji, which has surpassed a cumulative total of 1 million copies (including digital versions). The story begins with Miya Nakamura, a child of a concubine who is taken in by the prestigious Kōnokura family after her mother's death. Though she prepared herself for terrible treatment, the plot takes an unexpected turn as her stepmother and stepsisters don't "bully" her at all. It is a gentle and heartwarming "gap" comedy.

The main visual depicts the protagonist, Miya Nakamura, seated in a chair, surrounded by her stepmother, Teru Kōnokura, and her stepsisters, Marika and Arisa. While the family dog and guard, Gungnir, sleeps on Miya's lap, her stepmother watches over her with a smile, and her stepsisters are seen doting on her.

The teaser PV marks the first release of the anime footage and character voices. It features the protagonist Miya (CV: Hina Suzuki), who prepared herself for harsh treatment upon being taken in by the Kōnokura family, but is instead overwhelmed by the affection of her overly kind stepmother, Teru (CV: Kujira), and her stepsisters, Marika (CV: Yu Serizawa) and Arisa (CV: Yuka Nukui). It was also announced that Anna Mugiho will provide the voice for Gungnir, who also appears in the video.
