Praised as "Perfect" by overseas fans! New "Gintama: 3-Nen Z-Gumi Gin-pachi Sensei Tooooon!!" illustration for Jump TOON's 2nd anniversary revealed

The official X account of "Jump TOON" released a newly drawn illustration for the 2nd anniversary of "Gintama: 3-Nen Z-Gumi Gin-pachi Sensei Tooooon!!", which has become a hot topic among fans.

The illustration depicts Ginpachi Sakata (CV: Tomokazu Sugita) with his signature "dead-fish eyes," wearing glasses and a sloppily worn white lab coat. Holding a ballpoint pen in his hand, the familiar listless atmosphere of the teacher is perfectly captured down to the finest detail.

In response to the post, many comments of joy and admiration for the details have arrived from both Japan and abroad on social media, such as: "The new illustration really captures Ginpachi-sensei's vibe, doesn't it?", "Happy 2nd anniversary to Jump TOON!", "Perfect", and "I figured out which ballpoint pen Ginpachi is using—thank you, I'm buying it!"

"Gintama: 3-Nen Z-Gumi Gin-pachi Sensei Tooooon!!" is a slapstick comedy featuring the homeroom teacher Ginpachi Sakata, whose appearance and behavior are hardly fit for a high school teacher, along with characters from the main "Gintama" series appearing as students with intense personalities. Based on the popular spin-off novel that depicts a classroom in a state of a "terrifying amusement park," it is currently serialized as a full-color vertical-read manga on Jump TOON. Yūki Aonuma is in charge of art and coloring, Ao Suzumemura handles the storyboards, and the original story is by Hideaki Sorachi and Tomohito Osaki.
