The "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-" series is based on the popular light novels from MF Bunko J (Author: Tappei Nagatsuki / Illustrator: Shinichirou Otsuka). It is a dark fantasy depicting Subaru, who is suddenly transported to another world, standing up to a harsh fate using his "Return by Death" ability to rewind time when he dies.
The first season aired in 2016, and the series became a massive hit with a second season and OVAs. The third season was split into the "Attack Arc" in 2024 and the "Counterattack Arc" in 2025.

Waking up in the dragon carriage, Subaru is told by Beatrice that everyone has successfully reunited and they have reached the interior of the Pleiades Watchtower. His relief is short-lived as he is welcomed by a passionate hug from Shaula, a girl who calls him "Master" and claims to be the tower’s watcher. Led by her, the group enters "Taygeta," the third floor of the tower. It was the testing ground to qualify for entry into the tower’s true function—the Archive of the Pleiades Library.
