[Photos/Images] Chrome’s Tearful Determination! A "Happy Ending" Senku Never Saw Coming: "So Hype It Gave Me Chills" in Dr. STONE Season 4, Episode 29 1st

Senku Ishigami (CV: Yūsuke Kobayashi) and his allies are laboring to build a rocket to confront Why-man. However, in episode 29 of the anime "Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE," which aired on April 30, it was revealed that the rocket is a one-way ticket, and Senku’s plan involves a degree of self-sacrifice. Upon learning this, Chrome (CV: Gen Sato) resolved to build a return rocket in secret from Senku, touching the hearts of viewers who commented, "He's too cool" and "Chrome made me cry."

In episode 29, "The Truth About the Rocket," Senku and the others were rushing the rocket's construction, uncertain when Why-man on the moon might launch another petrification attack. Amidst this, Senku disclosed that the rocket would be a one-way trip; the members heading to the moon would use a petrification device after completing their mission and wait for rescue until humanity had progressed enough to facilitate a round trip.

While Senku’s plan is rational given the time constraints, Chrome showed a conflicted expression at the thought of potentially never seeing his friends again. Although Chrome agonized, thinking, "I'm just an amateur, I have no right to speak up," he eventually took a stand with tears in his eyes: "Like I’d ever allow a plan [that sacrifices friends]! All of us being together at the end, saying 'We did it!' and having a toast—that’s what our total victory should be. Isn't that what a happy ending is!?" He then made a proposal to Suika (CV: Karin Takahashi), who once spent seven years alone to create the revival fluid: "We're the new science users of Ishigami Village. Let’s build a return rocket ourselves, me and you, Suika."

Viewers online were fired up by this intense development of Chrome aiming for a happy ending that even Senku hadn't envisioned, with comments like, "It was so hype it gave me chills," "Uooooh, Chrome is way too cool," "Chrome made me cry," and "Aiming for a true happy ending is just so moving."
