[Photos/Images] "She Looks Like a Serial Killer!" Gege Akutami Draws Illustration for "Someone Hertz" Vol. 3; Collab PV Featuring Creepy Nuts, Ayase, and Lilas Ikuta Leaves Fans "Weeping Since Morning" 1st

To celebrate the release of the third volume of the manga "Someone Hertz" today, Friday, May 1, the official X account has unveiled a commemorative illustration and an endorsement comment from Gege Akutami, the creator of "Jujutsu Kaisen." Additionally, a collaboration PV featuring Creepy Nuts, Ayase, and Lilas Ikuta has been released, sparking a massive conversation.

The image of the book's wraparound band (obi) features the powerful catchphrase: "Highly praised by Gege Akutami of 'Jujutsu Kaisen'!" and "This is the true Radio Passion (Dendenpassion)!!" alongside a depiction of the heroine, Kurage Mizuo, drawn in Akutami's signature gritty style. True to her radio handle "Unagi Potato," she is shown gripping a somewhat eerie eel in her right hand and a potato in her left, making for an incredibly impactful illustration.

"Someone Hertz" is a radio-themed romantic comedy manga by Ei Yamano, currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump." The story follows Mimei Fukumori, a serious student council president, and Kurage Mizuo, his free-spirited classmate. The two share a secret hobby of listening to midnight radio and are actually rival "postcard writers" (contributors) for the same program. This youth drama has gained significant popularity, surpassing 30,000 copies in circulation.

In response to Akutami's illustration, fans flooded the post with humorous and appreciative comments: "Wait, this is way too funny lol," "Every single element of this is so Gege Akutami," "Every character this person draws turns into a Jujutsu Sorcerer," "Unagi Potato has gone full serial killer! lol," and "This version of Unapote definitely has a foul mouth."

Furthermore, on the same day, a collaboration PV featuring the song "Baka Majime" by Creepy Nuts, Ayase, and Lilas Ikuta was released to mark the Vol. 3 launch. Fans expressed their joy with comments like "This is the best!!" and "It's so good," while others were deeply moved: "As a Jump kid and a midnight radio listener, I've been weeping since morning," and "The excellence of the 'Baka Majime' chapter from the manga stands out even more now."
