"The Apothecary Diaries" is an anime series based on the light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. It gained massive popularity for its mystery drama featuring Maomao, who works as a "poison tester" in the rear palace, and the comical interactions between her and Jinshi. The TV anime has aired up to its second season, and it has been announced that the third season will air in two split cours starting in October 2026 and April 2027. Additionally, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled for release in December 2026.
