Musical "Touken Ranbu" Kashuu Kiyomitsu Solo Performance "Kiwame" Opens! Stage Photos and Ryuji Sato’s Enthusiastic Comments Released

On May 1, 2026, "Musical 'Touken Ranbu' Kashuu Kiyomitsu Solo Performance Kiwame" opened at Kanadevia Hall. Stage photos from the public dress rehearsal held prior to opening day, along with comments from Ryūji Satō, who plays the role of Kashuu Kiyomitsu, have been released.

The Musical "Touken Ranbu" series is based on the PC browser and smartphone app game "Touken Ranbu ONLINE." This solo performance by Kashuu Kiyomitsu, the first in seven years, is a concentrated journey of his path since the trial performance in 2015. The stage allows the audience to reflect on his own story as a Touken Danshi while feeling the evolution and history of over ten years spent alongside Musical "Touken Ranbu."

In this production, Ryūji Satō, who plays Kashuu Kiyomitsu, is involved in the direction alongside Isamu Kayano. The performance is structured to flow directly from the musical part into the live part without an intermission, featuring over 40 numbers including new songs and medleys. This solo performance is truly the "Kiwame" (ultimate)—both a culmination and a new pinnacle.

Furthermore, live streaming with catch-up viewing will be available for three performances: the 6:00 PM show on May 1, and both the 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM shows on May 25. Additionally, a live viewing in theaters across the country has been confirmed for the grand finale performance on May 25.

What I can say for certain is that this is the absolute maximum and the limit of what I can do as Kashuu Kiyomitsu in Musical "Touken Ranbu" right now. I believe we have surpassed the past. After all, it is "Kiwame." In 2017, I took on the challenge of the solo performance to further expand the possibilities of "Toumu," and by extension, the possibilities of the media mix for the "Touken Ranbu" franchise. With the pride of the person who initiated these solo performances, I will shed another layer of my shell as a human and work together with the team to ensure this is called both the origin and the pinnacle. Above all, he is Kashuu Kiyomitsu. I want to be the one who responds most to his expectation of wanting to be loved more than anyone else.
