23 Works Including Indie Anime Masterpieces to Be Screened! ABEMA's First Anime Project Event to Be Held on May 17

ABEMA has announced that the first real-world event for Project PRISMation, a project aimed at creating original anime works together with next-generation creators, titled "PRISMation Film Fes. 2026," will be held on Sunday, May 17.

"Project PRISMation" is a project that works with creators who distribute animation works individually or in small, elite teams to co-produce pilot films for original anime. It supports the creation of stories that remain in the hearts of viewers and the development of creative works that inspire creators.

The project name, "Project PRISMation," is derived from "PRISM" and "Animation." Just as white light splits into various colors through a prism, the name reflects the goal of providing a place where diverse talents gather and shine as anime works.

At the real-world event "PRISMation Film Fes. 2026," a total of 23 carefully selected works will be specially screened on a giant theater screen. These include works originating from "Project PRISMation" such as "Poppin-Play Kitchen," "Gluttomy," and "The Horrors' Horror Home," as well as masterpieces that have shaped the history of indie anime such as "She and Her Cat" (Makoto Shinkai), "Fumiko's Confession" (Hiroyasu Ishida), "My Little Goat" (Tomoki Misato), and "PUPARIA" (Shingo Tamagawa). The lineup also features trending works that have gained worldwide acclaim on social media, such as "Milky☆Highway" (Yo☆Hey) and "LUCA" (Nina Ai).
