Mamoru Miyano, Nanase Nishino, and 9 Others Assemble! "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" Release Commemoration Stage Greeting

"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," which has been in theaters since April 24, held a stage greeting to celebrate its release. A total of 11 members, including the Japanese voice cast and official ambassadors, took the stage to celebrate the film’s massive success with a kusudama (decorative celebratory ball). Furthermore, Yoshi made a surprise appearance, sending the venue into a frenzy of excitement.

"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" is an animated work based on the world of Super Mario and serves as the second film following "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," which was released in 2023 and recorded a cumulative global box office gross of over $1.3 billion (approx. 200 billion yen). Like its predecessor, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" is co-produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo.

Additionally, the film was produced through a joint investment by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, with Universal Pictures handling the global theatrical release. Following the first film, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic returned as directors, with Matthew Fogel returning as the screenwriter. The music was once again composed by Brian Tyler.
