The ABEMA Anime Official X account has announced the top 3 most commented scenes during the broadcast of "Akane-banashi" Episode 4, "Beyond Joy."

"Akane-banashi" is based on the rakugo manga by Yūki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The story follows Akane Ōsaki, a girl who grew up captivated by her father's magical rakugo performances. Triggered by the events surrounding her father’s "Shin'uchi Promotion Exam," she dives into the world of rakugo herself. It is an authentic rakugo drama depicting her growth as she aims for the highest rank of "Shin'uchi."

The intense drama of storytellers (hanashika) staking their lives on their art has sparked significant conversation, earning high praise as a work that carves out a new genre in shonen manga. The TV anime, which began airing in April 2026, features a star-studded cast including Anna Nagase (as Akane Ōsaki), Takuya Eguchi (as Karashi Nerimaya), Rie Takahashi (as Hikaru Koragi), and Akihisa Shiono (as Kaisei Arakawa).
