[Introduction]
The world nearly came to an end 30 years ago due to the appearance of unknown "Invasive Alien Lifeforms." Humanity and these "Invasive Species" struggle for territory; while human safety is currently barely maintained, the world remains on the brink of collapse at any moment. Living in fear of death and destruction, people go about their daily lives as if turning a blind eye to the dangers and disasters. In this world, the UN Hazardous Lifeform Research Organization, "EXCEEDS," has begun its operations to repel the crises and disasters caused by the Invasive Species. The story begins in "Mizuho," an island nation in the Far East. Shiina Kuze is a young girl living on a remote island as an Invasive Species extermination hunter. What incident awaits Shiina, who desires nothing more than a quiet life with her younger sister Setsuna, her only family?
