[Photos/Images] Even Genau's "Chunibyo vibes" are captured! Fans delighted by new Chibi character reveals for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End "Revolte Arc": "Everyone is so cute!" 1st

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime has shared new official "chibi" illustrations by illustrator Mebachi, featuring Genau (CV: Tarusuke Shingaki), Methode (CV: Reina Ueda), and Revolte (CV: Shinichiro Miki), sparking a buzz among fans.

These newly drawn illustrations are from the Season 2 "Revolte Arc" and will be included as bonus stickers with the BD & DVD Vol. 3, scheduled for release on Wednesday, June 17.

The images showcase Genau in his black coat with a hand over his eye, Methode with a gentle smile, and Revolte wielding swords with his four arms, all depicted in a charming, deformed (chibi) style. The unique forms and detailed costumes of all three characters are captured perfectly.

On X, fans were thrilled to see Genau—who surprisingly took 1st place in the 3rd Frieren Character Popularity Poll—getting new art and merchandise. Comments included, "I'm so happy they captured Genau's Chunibyo vibes!" and "Is Gena-san merch finally starting to drop...!?"

Others praised the accurate depictions, saying, "They all capture the characters' traits so well!", "Genau's tired face, Methode's peak cuteness, and Revolte's swordsman aura—Mebachi-sensei is a god," and "Everyone is so cute!" Reactions of pure joy regarding the bonus items also poured in: "I want those stickers!" and "I need those stickers, time to pre-order the BD."

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a fantasy series set in the "aftermath" of the Demon King's defeat by the Hero and his party. It follows the thousand-year-old elf mage Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki), who defeated the Demon King alongside the Hero, and her new journey with the people she meets. The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (art), currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday.
