Yūki Kaji Set to Voice Joe Shimamura in New Anime "Cyborg 009: Nemesis"! New Characters Gather in Newly Released Visual

"Cyborg 009: Nemesis" is a brand-new animation based on the legendary masterpiece "Cyborg 009," which Shotaro Ishinomori continued to draw as his life's work. It has been announced that Yūki Kaji will voice the protagonist, Joe Shimamura, and his official comments have arrived. Along with this announcement, a key visual featuring the newly assembled characters has also been released.

"Cyborg 009" tells the story of nine cyborgs, including 009 / Joe Shimamura, who were forcefully remodeled as weapons of war by the evil organization Black Ghost. Defying their creators, they escape the organization and fight to eradicate conflict from the world. Since its serialization began in "Shonen King" on July 19, 1964, the series has been published across various magazines for over 30 years and has expanded into multiple media, including TV anime and films. It truly became Ishinomori's life's work.

For over half a century since their creation, the cyborg warriors have protected people from various threats to peace. However, the battle still continues. And now, a new group of nine cyborgs called "Nemesis"—who believe that 009 and his allies can no longer lead the world to tranquility—has emerged. Led by Graviton, a cyborg who manipulates gravity, what is the ultimate ideal they strive for? Are we about to witness a passing of the torch to a new generation?!

A new visual showcasing the full lineup of the cyborg group "Nemesis" has been unveiled.
