■ "A 1 in Arts and Crafts!" Tasuku Hatanaka Baffled by Yu Serizawa's Clay Artwork?! Emotional Talk Sparked by Childhood Photos
The two, who co-host a weekly radio show together, showed perfect chemistry right from the opening. When Hatanaka gave a cute greeting in line with "Cute Tuesday," saying, "The 'asobi' in 'Yo Asobi' is spelled in hiragana, you know," Serizawa immediately shot back with, "Is that all you think of me?"
Later, when Serizawa demonstrated "true cuteness," Hatanaka showered her with praise, saying, "Amazing! A National Treasure! Yu Serizawa is an Important Cultural Property." Serizawa replied, "If you're going to do it, at least do it to this level," pumping up the studio with their non-stop, fast-paced banter.
In this broadcast, they held a special Children's Day segment titled "[Children's Day Special] Knead and Connect! Clay DE Shiritori." Channeling their inner child, they took on a word-chain game using clay.
First, they revealed photos from their elementary school days. Looking at Hatanaka's photo from when he was a bit chubby, Serizawa gushed, "So cute!" Hatanaka then shared a youthful anecdote about how he lost weight from the shock of being rejected by a girl he liked, prompting an excited response from Serizawa: "That is so emo~!"
On the other hand, Serizawa showed a photo from her elementary school days where she was already striking a "perfect pose." Apparently, she had a favorite facial angle even back then. When she explained, "Look at this perfect angle! I was already fully planning to make my debut back then. I was sending photos to various agencies," Hatanaka chimed in with a tease: "Your angle is exactly the same as it is now!" This childhood talk filled the studio with laughter.
Then, the game began. Serizawa showed confidence, saying, "I'm good at arts and crafts. I was super talented." However, when she boldly spread out her clay piece, Hatanaka couldn't help but roast her, saying, "Terrifying! You definitely got a 1 in arts and crafts!" sending the studio into fits of laughter. Later on, there was even a moment where Hatanaka completely misunderstood Serizawa's artwork. In the end, they failed the Shiritori game, and the studio erupted in laughter again as the two kept blaming each other for the failure.
