[Photos/Images] An Unexpected Party Formation with Ieyasu Tokugawa?! "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Official "Frieren of the Bronze Statue" Plushie Photo Sparks Buzz 1st

The official X account for the original "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" manga has been updated. Along with a message, a photo taken with a Frieren plushie—a recurring tradition on their social media—was posted and has become a hot topic.

The post was accompanied by the words "Frieren of the bronze statue."

In the released image, a plushie featuring a heavily stylized, chibi face of Frieren is placed prominently in the foreground. In the background, a large stone monument engraved with "Sunpu Castle Keep Ruins" and a bronze statue of Ieyasu Tokugawa tower over the scene, creating a shot that looks as if Frieren is visiting Sunpu Castle Park in Shizuoka Prefecture.

The work is a fantasy manga by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (art). Set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated, it depicts the journey of Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she experiences the deaths of her former comrades and sets out on a quest to understand humans. It was also adapted into a TV anime, which garnered a massive response for its grand world-building and heartwarming story.

In response to this post, many fans left reactions filled with surprise and witty retorts regarding the current location of her journey, such as "I've been keeping an eye on Frieren's journey, but (lol) is she in Shizuoka right now?! She's moving around so fast!", "It's the Himmel of Shizuoka.", "Frieren has come to Sunpu Castle!", and "So she formed a party with this person too!"
