[Photos/Images] "This Whole Space Is Going to Be Made So Cute" and "So Cute!": Delighted Reactions Flood in for the Chiikawa Tokyo Skytree Event 1st

A post on Tokyo Skytree's official X account announcing a new Chiikawa event along with an image has become a hot topic among fans.

According to the post, the event titled "Chiikawa: The Starlit Skytree and the Secret Island" will take place from July 10 to October 31. During this period, various attractions are planned, including venue decorations, a themed cafe, merchandise sales, and special lighting.

The released image depicts Hachiware (CV: Makoto Tanaka), Chiikawa (CV: Haruka Aoki), and Usagi (CV: Ari Ozawa) standing side-by-side on a sandy beach, dressed in star-patterned outfits and crowns while holding items like a three-pronged spear. In the background, the ocean, Tokyo Skytree, starfish, and seashells are arranged, and a pink mermaid-like silhouette floating on the sea surface can be seen, along with the movie's logo subtly visible in the upper left corner.

Chiikawa is a manga series by illustrator nagano currently serialized on X. It depicts the fun yet slightly bittersweet daily lives of the ever-hardworking Chiikawa and its unique friends, such as Hachiware and Usagi. A TV anime adaptation has been broadcasting since April 2022, garnering immense popularity. This Skytree event is a collaboration with the upcoming feature film, Chiikawa The Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island, whose logo is featured in the image.

Furthermore, since a curry icon is displayed next to the "COMING SOON" label for the limited-time cafe section on the special website linked in the post, some fans expressed high expectations, saying "I hope for a cutlet curry & clam soup set!"—a nod to the dish served to Chiikawa by Shimajirō in the original manga.
