To celebrate Shizuka's birth month, a special episode titled "The Gift is a Trip to Vietnam" will be broadcast on May 23.

"Doraemon" is an anime series based on the highly popular manga by Fujiko F. Fujio. It depicts the friendship and daily lives of Doraemon, a cat-shaped robot from the future who pulls mysterious "secret gadgets" out of his four-dimensional pocket, and Nobita, who is poor at both studying and sports, along with their friends.

"Doraemon" has previously broadcast world-themed special episodes such as "Spending New Year's Eve in Spain" and "I Want to Meet That Cat." This work marks the third installment of the "Doraemon Around the World Series."

In "The Gift is a Trip to Vietnam," Nobita suggests to Shizuka, who says, "I'd love to go to the lantern festival in Vietnam someday," "Let's make a trip to Vietnam your birthday present." He goes to ask Doraemon, thinking they can manage somehow if they use the "Anywhere Door," but is told, "It's impossible because it's under repair." Unable to bear seeing Nobita so depressed, Doraemon decides to call his younger sister, Dorami, as a helper.

However, because an enthusiastic Dorami packs a minute-by-minute schedule using her secret gadgets, it turns into a chaotic journey. Amidst all this, as if to make matters worse, they get caught up in some trouble. Will Nobita and his friends really be able to take Shizuka to the lantern festival?

The trip to Vietnam features a succession of famous sightseeing spots, including the popular Hoan Kiem Lake, the World Heritage site Ha Long Bay, and the Dragon Bridge. Furthermore, Shizuka looking stylish in the Vietnamese traditional dress, the Ao Dai, and the secret gadget "Translation Gummy (Banh Mi Flavor)" are also must-sees.

In addition, "Fun Running Away from Home with the Mistletoe" will also be broadcast on May 23. This story revolves around the secret gadget "Mistletoe," which, when planted in front of a house, allows the user to enter and stay there without permission. Nobita, after being scolded by his mother, ends up enjoying running away from home using this Mistletoe.
