"Detective Conan" × "Star Detective Precure!" Miracle Collaboration! Comments from Minami Takayama and Hikari Senga Have Arrived

A miracle collaboration between the anime "Detective Conan" and "Star Detective Precure!" has been confirmed. Along with this announcement, comments from the voice cast, a special collaboration PV, and details on the collaboration merchandise have been released all at once.

"Detective Conan" is a mystery series following high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who was forced to drink a poison by the Black Organization, causing his body to shrink. Taking on the alias Conan Edogawa, he solves various cases while living under the roof of the Mori Detective Agency, run by Kogoro, the father of his childhood friend Ran Mori.

"Star Detective Precure!" features the very first "detective" Precure in the franchise's history. The story begins when the protagonist, Anna Akechi, time-travels back to the year 1999. The theme of the work is "See, feel, and think for yourself to find the 'true' answer." It depicts girls who act as detectives with the desire to "help people in need" in their hearts.

---Could you tell us your thoughts when you first heard about this collaboration?

What, is someone going to transform?!... Could it be Ran-neechan?!... Just kidding. I never thought a collaboration that crosses TV networks and production companies would actually happen. This is truly a major incident that will go down in history (lol). I am delighted to co-star with Precure, a series that has been loved for so long. I actually used to be a Precure myself (although a dark one). I was looking forward to seeing what kind of story it would be and how the great detectives would interact with each other.

---Was there anything you were particularly conscious of when recording for "Star Detective Precure!"?

No matter the place or situation, the character stays the same, so there wasn't anything special I was conscious of in terms of acting. If I had to say something, it would be the mic work. We recorded the two stories at each of their respective home studios, and as expected, not knowing how things worked at a first-time location made me feel a bit more nervous. The recording itself wrapped up enjoyably, with plenty of chatting during breaks.

---Could you please give a message to the viewers who are looking forward to the broadcast?

Thank you as always for your support. Just like us, I'm sure all of you were surprised to hear about the collaboration. How the "Great Detectives" exist in each other's worlds, and how they will be portrayed... Of course, the deduction scenes are also well worth watching! Please enjoy this co-starring of "Great Detectives" as they travel back and forth between worlds that are different from usual.
