"The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom" TV Anime to Premiere This October on NHK E-Tele! Comments Arrive from the Original Creator and Director

A TV anime adaptation of the manga "The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom" has been officially greenlit. It is scheduled to broadcast on NHK E-Tele starting this October. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual depicting the seven brothers walking through a meadow adorned with marronnier flowers, as well as a special promotional video, have been released.

The series is a fantasy romance by Nao Iwamoto that has been serialized in "Monthly Flowers" (Shogakukan) since 2016. Set in the Marronnier Kingdom, located at the center of eight neighboring countries, the story follows seven knight brothers who are dispatched as ambassadors to seven different nations, where they each seek out their destined partners.

The animation production will be handled by J.C.STAFF, with Kiyoko Sayama serving as the director. In celebration of the anime announcement, a handwritten congratulatory message from the original creator, Iwamoto, was released, reading: "Since it's broadcasting on NHK, I hope young children will watch it too, but I wonder if it'll be okay?" Director Sayama also shared a comment highlighting the series' appeal: "Like a road movie, each character travels to different regions, so you can enjoy the distinct cultures and landscapes featured in every chapter."
