The latest film in the "Anpanman" movie series and the 37th installment, "Soreike! Anpanman: Pantan to Yakusoku no Hoshi," will be released nationwide on June 26. It has been announced that Kenjirō Tsuda will voice Nyakkuru, a new character and an adventurer who holds the key to the story. Along with this announcement, the voice recording footage from the main film has also been released.

The story centers around Pantan, a red panda who travels to fulfill an important promise made long ago with the adventurer Nyakkuru, depicting their precious bond and friendship.

Tsuda, who is participating in the series for the first time, expressed his joy, saying, "When I heard that I could participate in 'Anpanman,' and moreover, play an important role in the theatrical version, I was truly happy. It was a long-awaited appearance in Anpanman, so I was really delighted." Regarding Nyakkuru, the character he plays, he analyzed, "He is very calm, composed, full of an adventurous spirit, and a solid adult. He has both strength and kindness, making him a truly attractive character."

Furthermore, reflecting on the recording session and referring to the performances of the regular voice cast, including Keiko Toda as Anpanman and Ryūsei Nakao as Baikinman, he recalled, "The voices I heard are so familiar and comforting, and since they are my great seniors, there is a sense of moving emotion in every single word. I was deeply moved not only by Anpanman and Baikinman but by all the characters." Regarding the appeal of the film, he promoted it by saying, "This time, it's quite a story for adults as well, touching on things like growing older and the importance of living each day thoughtfully, with some slightly bitter aspects. It's a film that resonates deeply with adults."

The footage from the main film, released alongside the voice recording video, captures a tense rescue scene on a towering cliff edge, as well as Pantan and Nyakkuru making a firm promise and moving forward together.
