It has been announced that MYTH & ROID will be in charge of the opening theme for the TV anime "Saga of Tanya the Evil II," which begins broadcasting on July 8, continuing from the first season.
"Saga of Tanya the Evil" is based on the military fantasy novel by Carlo Zen. It depicts an elite businessman who is reincarnated into another world as Tanya, a blonde, blue-eyed young girl, and survives a harsh war with her overwhelming magical aptitude. In the second season, broadcasting approximately nine years after the first season in 2017, Tanya is appointed as the commander of a newly formed motley unit, and is depicted being driven into an endless, muddy quagmire of war. NUT will continue to handle the animation production, following the first season.
Following the first TV series season and the movie, the title of the opening theme by MYTH & ROID is "Why? RED induction." Regarding the song, MYTH & ROID commented, "While inheriting the wild excitement of the first season's OP 'JINGO JUNGLE,' this song incorporates the seriousness and sorrow unique to the second season."
