The official X account for Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc released the cover illustration along with the announcement of the release of the latest Volume 24. Since it features Denji on the cover for the first time in a while, it has become a huge topic of discussion on the internet.
The account announced that the cover illustration for Volume 24 of the series, released on June 4, features the protagonist, Denji. The released image shows the cover design for Volume 24 of the comic by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Wearing a black eyepatch over his right eye, Denji is covered in blood splatter all over his face, shirt, and loosened tie. Dressed in a Public Safety suit, he stares straight ahead in a painful yet powerful illustration. In the background, a greenish, dystopian back alley scene filled with outdoor air conditioning units, ducts, and neon signs is depicted.
Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc is a popular dark fantasy manga by Fujimoto that was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen Jump+. The protagonist is Denji, a boy who bears his parents' debts and lives a rock-bottom life with Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil. He is resurrected as "Chainsaw Man" possessing the heart of his pet devil, Pochita. After that, he is taken in as a Public Safety Devil Hunter, and the story depicts him throwing himself into harsh battles with various devils. The cumulative circulation of the comics, including e-books, has surpassed 36 million copies.
In response to this post, fans commented with reactions such as, "Denji really looks good in a suit jacket," "I love how both the final chapter of Part 1 and Part 2 end with Denji wearing his Public Safety suit," "It’s been since Volume 11 that Denji decorated the cover, which brings back memories," and "It says 'the latest' instead of 'the final,' so I believe in it." Since Part 2 reaches its conclusion with Volume 24, which is being released this time, voices congratulating the release of this memorable volume are rising on SNS. Along with that, the excitement of fans who anticipate that new corrections or descriptions unique to the tankobon (collected volume) might be prepared is also increasing.
