Frog (movie 2026)" and "Mobile Suit Gundam" Spark a Massive Buzz 1st](https://times-abema.ismcdn.jp/mwimgs/b/2/724w/img_b25f3da39390ba692807337664957c8d87816.jpg)
On the official X account for Gundam, it was announced that two types of collaborative plastic models between Sgt. Frog (movie 2026) and Mobile Suit Gundam will be released, and images were unveiled. This unique collaboration has sparked a massive buzz on social media.
The two models set for release this time are "Keroro Robo Mk-II (Titans Colors)" and "RG 1/144 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (Keroro Custom)." Keroro Robo Mk-II, the favorite machine of Sergeant Keroro (CV: Kumiko Watanabe)—who deeply loves Gunpla in the series—will feature the color scheme of the "Titans," an elite force of the Earth Federation Forces. Meanwhile, the Real Grade (RG) spec Gundam Mk-II will appear in a color scheme inspired by Sergeant Keroro himself.
According to the released images, the "RG Gundam Mk-II (Keroro Custom)" features a design where the body is primarily based on vibrant light green and deep green, accented by the red on the chest and yellow highlights throughout. The head part has a molded design reminiscent of Sergeant Keroro, and it is scheduled to be released through Premium Bandai's Hobby Online Shop. On the other hand, the "Keroro Robo Mk-II (Titans Colors)" is clad in the dark navy Titans color scheme that is almost black, with a yellow antenna on its head and a red star mark on its forehead. Furthermore, the shield features the mark of the "Keroro Platoon," and it can be confirmed that a Keroro figure, also in Titans colors, is riding on top of the robot.
Sgt. Frog (movie 2026) is a theatrical film series of the popular anime Sgt. Frog, based on the manga by Mine Yoshizaki. It is a sci-fi comedy series featuring Sergeant Keroro, a frog-like alien who came to conquer Earth but ended up living as a dependent at the Hinata household, spending his days engrossed in his hobby of building Gunpla and engaging in slapstick daily life with humans. The franchise is loved across a wide range of generations and is well known for featuring numerous Gunpla and Gundam parodies within the show.
In response to this announcement, fans chimed in with various reactions, including playful call-outs directed at Keroro himself, such as, "You're getting Titans colors too?! lol," and praise for the meticulous attention to detail, like, "The vulcan pod looking like a military cap is great." There were also surprised voices regarding the choice of the line, questioning, "Why of all things is it an RG?" rather than a High Grade (HG). Furthermore, drawing comparisons to a certain MS (Mobile Suit) from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY—which is often said to resemble Sgt. Frog due to its unique silhouette and color scheme—some fans expressed high hopes for an even more miraculous development, commenting, "I hope Ash gets released by some sort of mistake," among many other responses.
