"Too Cute It's Giving Me a Heart Attack" – Frieren in a Dress and Shinichi Kudo in a Basketball Uniform! "Detective Conan" and "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Co-Star at Sunday Culture Festival

On the official X account for the original Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga, an image for the Sunday Culture Festival has been released, and the co-starring with Detective Conan is sparking a buzz among fans.

The released image is an illustration featuring the logo "Sunday Fes 2026 Sunday Culture Festival." In the upper section, a pair from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is depicted: Himmel in a dress shirt and vest, and Frieren enveloped in a white dress. In the lower section, Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri from Detective Conan appear in blue basketball uniforms with "TEITAN HIGHSCHOOL" written across the chest; notably, Shinichi is holding a basketball under his right arm, while Ran holds a yellow pom-pom in her right hand.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a fantasy manga by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (artwork). Set in a world after the hero's party defeated the Demon King, it depicts the story of the protagonist Frieren, an elf who has lived for over 1,000 years, as she embarks on a journey to learn about humans. It is a highly discussed work that has won numerous manga awards, has been adapted into a TV anime, and has garnered immense popularity both domestically and internationally.

On the other hand, Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) is a wildly popular mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that has been in serialization since 1994. It is widely known as a national masterpiece in which Shinichi, a high school detective who was forced to drink a poison by the Black Organization and turned into a child, takes on the name "Conan Edogawa" and leads the resolution of numerous difficult cases.
