The popular manga "Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto" by Hiroshi Shiibashi, currently serialized in "Ultra Jump," is getting a TV anime adaptation and is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Saturday, July 4. Along with this announcement, the key visual, the third PV featuring the theme song, and additional broadcasting and streaming information have been released.
This work was first published as a one-shot in "Shonen Jump+" on March 30, 2020, before starting its serialization in "Ultra Jump" in March 2021.
The story is set in Japan during the 1910s. Kodō Iwamoto, who attends the army-affiliated Seiho Middle School, is tasked by military orders to investigate supernatural phenomena occurring across the country and recommend individuals with extraordinary abilities suitable for military use to the academy. It is a romantic dark fantasy tale depicting the various bizarre phenomena Iwamoto encounters at his destinations, the individuals with abilities from diverse backgrounds, and the human drama of Iwamoto trying to save them.
In the newly released key visual, a total of six characters are gathered together: Iwamoto, Haramachi, Amaha, Sazame, Okuaki, and Kitsujō. With red petals dancing around them and expressions reflecting their inner thoughts, this single visual heightens anticipation for the start of the broadcast.
In addition to TOKYO MX and Sun TV, which had already been confirmed, broadcasting on BS Fuji has also been decided. Furthermore, availability on various streaming services has been confirmed.
