Takuya Satō, Seena Hoshiki, and Shinya Takahashi Gather! "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" Special Program Set to Air on July 4

On ABEMA, a special program for the summer anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" titled "'Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You' Special Program: The Three Conversing on ABEMA's Special Show" will be broadcast exclusively for free starting at 8:30 PM on July 4.

This work is a slice-of-life human drama based on the manga by Jinushi, currently serialized in the monthly magazine "Big Gangan" (Square Enix). It depicts the moments shared between Sasaki, a middle-aged salaryman exhausted from work, and Tayama, a mysterious woman working at the supermarket he frequents, as they exchange words while smoking cigarettes behind the store.

The story has resonated with many readers as a "dual-personality cigarette story" that carefully depicts the slightly mysterious connections between adults in everyday life. It won 1st place in the Web Manga Division of the "Next Manga Awards 2022," and the compiled volumes have surpassed a cumulative total of 3 million copies in circulation.

In the special program "'Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You' Special Program: The Three Conversing on ABEMA's Special Show," which has been set for an exclusive free broadcast on ABEMA, the main cast members including Takuya Satō (as Sasaki), Seena Hoshiki (as Yamada/Tayama), and Shinya Takahashi (as Suzuki) will appear. Leading up to the terrestrial broadcast starting July 9, the charm of the work and its characters will be thoroughly explained. Additionally, in connection with the theme of the work, a talk project will be held where they will develop themed conversations with "Cocoa Cigarettes" in hand.

Furthermore, a giveaway campaign commemorating the broadcast of this special program has also been confirmed. By following the official X account of the TV anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" and the official ABEMA Anime X account, and reposting the campaign post to be published by the official ABEMA Anime X account on July 4 by the end of July 11, one lucky winner chosen by lottery will receive a poster signed by the cast appearing in this special program.

Ahead of the terrestrial broadcast, ABEMA is currently streaming the "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" ABEMA Exclusive Advance Delivery Version. To celebrate the special program's broadcast, a free marathon broadcast of all 12 episodes has also been scheduled right before the special program, starting from 5:30 PM on July 4.
