[Photos/Images] Gambling, womanizing, and discovering her husband’s secret child... Is Hana Danno’s "newlywed life" too chaotic in Episode 11 of "Daemons of the Shadow Realm"?! 1st

Episode 11 of the anime "Daemons of the Shadow Realm," based on the latest manga by hit creator Hiromu Arakawa—best known for "Fullmetal Alchemist"—has been airing since June 13. A scene where Ryu Tadera, also known as “Dera” (CV: Yūichi Nakamura), suddenly brings his half-brother Ken Tadera (CV: Natsumi Fujiwara) home, provoking a simmer of anger from his “wife” Hana Danno (CV: Miyuri Shimabukuro), brought laughter to viewers.

Both serving as "Tsugai keepers" (Ban-komono), Dera and Hana are currently looking after Yuru (CV: Kenshō Ono), who has come down to the lower world from Higashi Village. In order to naturally blend into the community, they live under the cover story that "Dera and Hana are a married couple" and "Yuru is Dera’s child from a previous relationship."

In the latest episode, Episode 11 "Brothers," Ken made his first appearance as the master of "Tenaga-Ashinaga." During an interrogation into Ken’s background, it was revealed that he has a connection to the Tadera family. When Yuru asked, “Is he Mr. Dera’s son?”, Dera appeared to ponder for a moment, saying, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait! I don't recall...”, but ultimately declared firmly, “I have no recollection of this!”

In the end, it turned out that Ken is Dera’s half-brother. Having lost his mother, Ken moved straight into the house where Dera, Hana, and the others live... However, for Hana, who was at home, it was all a complete bolt from the blue.

After picking up a betting ticket and a girls' bar business card dropped by Dera when he returned, Hana grew suspicious, wondering, “Gambling...? Womanizing...?” Upon meeting Ken, she was completely bewildered, thinking, “A secret child...!” Hana’s quietly furious figure was comically depicted as she said, “The start of a thrilling newlywed life where every day is a surprise and unpredictable.”

This series of "marital chaos" became a hot topic online, with comments such as, "I thought some other anime had started after the commercial break lol," "Part B felt like Hana-chan had completely broken down," and "I really liked the style after the commercial break where it felt like 'Wait, did I change the channel for a second?'" Other comments like "Hana-chan is tragically funny," "Hana-chan is way too much of an 'interesting woman,'" and "Hana-chan is having such a rough time" showed how Hana's rage invited laughter from the audience.
