Too Precious to Ever Use?! Fans Overjoyed by the Real-Life Look of "The Apothecary Diaries" Vol. 22 Special Edition Masking Tape

On the official X account of the Sunday GX Editorial Department, the cover of "The Apothecary Diaries: Maomao's Palace Mystery-Solving Notebook" Volume 22 and photos showing the real-life look of the masking tape included with the special edition have been released, generating a lot of buzz.

The posted photos feature the cover of the 22nd volume of the manga, scheduled for release around June 18, the packaging of the special edition with masking tape, and the actual masking tape, which comes in a luxurious set of all four types. The cover illustration, which is shared by both the regular and special editions, depicts Maomao with a surprised expression, reaching her hand out toward the viewer alongside roses and butterflies. Additionally, for the masking tape included in the special edition, four different patterned designs can be seen, each possessing its own unique cuteness, such as memorable panels of characters like Jinshi, as well as designs adorned with beautiful flowers and silhouettes.

"The Apothecary Diaries" is a smash-hit mystery-solving entertainment series based on the light novel by Hyuganatsu. It depicts Maomao, a poison-loving girl who was sold as a servant to the rear palace of a certain great empire, as she is discovered by the beautiful eunuch Jinshi and uses her innate knowledge of medicine to solve various incidents occurring within the palace. This work, "The Apothecary Diaries: Maomao's Palace Mystery-Solving Notebook," is one of the manga adaptations, with art handled by Minoji Kurata.
