"The Fake Alchemist" TV Anime Adaptation Confirmed & Teaser PV Released! Comments from the Authors Have Also Arrived

The TV anime adaptation of "The Fake Alchemist" has been confirmed, and a teaser visual along with a TV anime adaptation commemorative PV have been released. Passione, known for handling numerous popular fantasy works, will be in charge of the animation production.

This work is based on a manga with an original story by Jiro Sugiura and art by Umemaru, which created a legendary sensation as an indie title and has surpassed a cumulative total of 1 million copies for its commercial edition.

The city-state of Orihalconia. In this world where alchemy and magic are deeply rooted in people's daily lives, Paracelsus, a reincarnated individual, makes a modest living as an alchemist while hiding his "cheat skills." However, one day, his life begins to shift dramatically after entering into a contract with Nora, a slave and sorceress, and meeting Coco, an elf who has been deprived of her limbs and all of her senses. His attempt at salvation, which began in a small workshop to save Coco, eventually escalates into a battle involving alchemy, sorcery, the universe, and even God—and thus, a work packed with "everything about fantasy" lifts its curtain.

The released PV depicts the visual production process of the character "Nora," which was originally adapted into a manga by Umemaru based on Jiro Sugiura's rough sketches, and then handed over like a baton to the anime studio Passione for adaptation. In addition, newly drawn illustrations of Nora by both Sugiura and Umemaru have been unveiled. Furthermore, celebratory comments have arrived from both of the original creators.
