Anime "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity" Starts Broadcasting on July 25! Main Visual & OP/ED Revealed, Comment from Tite Kubo Arrives

It has been decided that "The Calamity," the final cour of the TV anime "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War," will begin broadcasting on the TV Tokyo network and other stations starting July 25. Along with this, the main visual, preview cuts and synopsis for Episode 41, and theme song information have been released.

"Bleach" is an anime series based on the popular sword-fighting battle action comic by Tite Kubo. The final arc, "Thousand-Year Blood War," began broadcasting in October 2022, and the third cour, "The Conflict," was broadcast in October 2024.

The released main visual depicts Ichigo Kurosaki, battered and exhausted, kneeling on a desolate wasteland, and Yhwach, who possesses omnipotent power, standing in his way in the sky above. It is a visual that foreshadows a fierce and desperate struggle in the final cour.

In addition, the opening theme for this work has been decided as "I-BULL" by jo0ji, and the ending theme as "Rasen" by 9Lana. The original author, Tite Kubo, who was involved in selecting the theme songs, commented on jo0ji's song, "I liked how powerful the song's presence was, and it kept getting better and better the more we talked." Regarding 9Lana's song, he noted, "The quality is high, the intro is great, and I thought it would be wonderful if it slid smoothly into the end of the story."

Furthermore, to commemorate the broadcast of the final cour, "The Calamity," the best episodes from Cours 1 to 3, chosen by fan voting, will be broadcast for three consecutive weeks starting Saturday, July 4. Free simultaneous streaming of the third cour, "The Conflict," will also be available on ABEMA and other streaming platforms.
