On the official X account for the "Sgt. Frog" anime, a special illustration by original creator Mine Yoshizaki was released to celebrate the theatrical release of the film "Sgt. Frog (movie 2026)" starting Friday, June 26, becoming a hot topic.

The posted illustration features a composition where the protagonist, Sergeant Keroro (CV: Kumiko Watanabe), is drawn in large, vibrant colors over a monochrome background reminiscent of manga manuscript paper or storyboards. Surrounding Keroro, who is energetically saluting with his right hand to his forehead, are the dynamic red letters reading "Congratulations!! Theatrical Release Begins!!!" along with his familiar catchphrase, "de arimasu!!". In the background sketches, members of the Keroro Platoon can also be spotted, including Corporal Giroro (CV: Jōji Nakata), Private Second Class Tamama (CV: Etsuko Kozakura), Sergeant Major Kururu (CV: Takehito Koyasu), and Lance Corporal Dororo (CV: Takeshi Kusao), making it a piece filled with enthusiasm for the movie's release and a sense of dynamism.

"Sgt. Frog" is an anime series based on the hugely popular sci-fi comedy manga by Mine Yoshizaki. The story follows Sergeant Keroro, an alien who came to invade Earth (Pekopon), as he ends up freeloading at the house of the Hinata siblings, Fuyuki (CV: Tomoko Kawakami / Houko Kuwashima) and Natsumi (CV: Chiwa Saitō), depicting the slapstick daily life he stirs up alongside his comrades. Loved across a wide range of generations for its diverse parody elements and unique characters, eyes are now glued to this highly anticipated new theatrical movie released in the Reiwa era.

In response to this illustration, fans flooded the post with joyful voices, calling it a "masterpiece full of dynamism" and saying "It's truly nostalgic," while others felt a wave of nostalgia, commenting, "It somehow makes me feel like I’ve gone back to the Heisei era or my childhood." Furthermore, many enthusiastic comments were received, such as "This is the number one movie I want to see right now" and "I'm going to go see it many times and burn it into my memory."
