A "Villager" Protects Alice (CV: Nao Tōyama) with Overwhelming Strength!? Synopsis and Preview Stills Released for Episode 1 of the Anime "The Villager of Level 999"

The TV anime "The Villager of Level 999" is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Wednesday, July 1. Ahead of the broadcast, the synopsis and preview stills for Episode 1, "Lv1: The Mechanics of the World," have been released.

This work is based on the popular novel by Koneko Hoshitsuki (illustrated by Fumi). Serialized on "Shosetsuka ni Naro" since 2015, the series has surpassed a cumulative total of 4 million copies in print. Set in a world where strength is determined by one's innate role and humans and demons are in conflict, it depicts Kōji Kagami (CV: Satoshi Inomata), a young man who has reached level 999 despite being a "Villager"—the weakest role—as he resists the mechanics of the world alongside a demon girl, Alice (CV: Nao Tōyama), and others. On ABEMA, Episode 1 will be streamed simultaneously with the terrestrial broadcast, while Episode 2 and subsequent episodes will be streamed one week ahead of the terrestrial broadcast.

【Synopsis】
In a world where strength is determined by one's innate role and humans and demons are in conflict. Kōji Kagami, who has reached LV999 despite being the weakest "Villager," encounters the Hero Rex and his party targeting the demon girl Alice in a cave he visited for monster hunting. Kōji protects Alice from the heroes' attacks with overwhelming power, dominating them with his out-of-the-ordinary strength. Then, Kōji leaves behind meaningful words for Rex and the others.
