The announcement revealed that the first cour (the first 12 episodes) of the TV anime "Aoashi Season2" (24 episodes in total) is scheduled to air on NHK E Tele every Sunday at 5:00 PM starting October 4. Along with this, the main visual for the first cour has also been unveiled.
"Aoashi" is a highly popular soccer manga by Yūgo Kobayashi that was serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" from 2015 and reached its grand conclusion with the 40th volume released in August 2025. With a cumulative circulation surpassing 25 million copies, it continues to garner immense support even after the completion of its serialization.
The TV anime aired from April to September 2022, where its realistic depiction of soccer and the story tracing the relatable growth of the protagonist, Ashito Aoi, became a hot topic, capturing the hearts of a wide audience, including not only anime fans but also sports fans.
The visual features the members of the Tokyo City Esperion Youth A-Team centered around Ashito Aoi, alongside Nagisa Akutsu, Haruhisa Kuribayashi, Yūma Motoki, Taira Nakamura, Yōichi Kiriki, Eita Takasugi, and Enshin Akiyama, who will play even more active roles from "Season2" onward. Having finally achieved promotion to the A-Team, the illustration captures a sense of anticipation for the dawn of a new battle, hinting at how Ashito will grow amidst encounters with even stronger players and fierce competition.
