On the official X account of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, the cover illustration for Short Story Collection Vol. 14, the latest volume of the original novel, has been revealed and is becoming a hot topic among fans.

According to the official announcement, the original novel series is confirmed for a two-month consecutive release, with Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Short Story Collection 14 scheduled to go on sale on July 24. Gracing the cover illustration are Otto Suwen and Garfiel Tinsel dashing through the Water Gate City.

In the released illustration, against the backdrop of a brick-built cityscape facing a waterway, Garfiel is depicted running energetically while carrying Otto on his back. Garfiel is flashing a smile that reveals his sharp fangs, while Otto, riding on his back, has a surprised expression as his hat looks about to be blown away by the wind. With pink flower petals fluttering around them, it is a piece bursting with a sense of speed and dynamism.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- is a highly popular work based on the light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki. It depicts the story of Subaru Natsuki, a shut-in boy who is suddenly summoned to another world, gaining the power of "Return by Death"—which rewinds time whenever he dies—and struggling to protect his loved ones while facing a harsh destiny. Since the first season of the TV anime aired in 2016, it has boasted immense popularity both domestically and internationally, with the third season also airing in 2024.
