The official X account for the anime The World Is Dancing has released a special end card illustration drawn by the original manga author following its early streaming on Prime Video, becoming a massive hot topic among fans.
According to the post, the illustration is an end card newly drawn by Kazuto Mihara, the author of the original manga. While it is currently available for early streaming on Prime Video ahead of the terrestrial broadcast, the sequential broadcast and distribution on terrestrial TV and other platforms will begin on July 2 at 22:00.
In the center of the newly released illustration, the protagonist Oniyasha (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori) is depicted with wide, surprised eyes while wearing a vibrant flower crown. Surrounding him, viewers can spot Ishiya (voiced by Simba Tsuchiya) clapping and smiling on the left; Shirabyōshi (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro) watching over gently from the back left; Satsuki (voiced by Hazuki Seto) smiling from the back right; Jūnigorō (voiced by Haruki Ishiya) observing from the far back right; and Kogane (voiced by Maaya Uchida) laughing innocently while pointing at Oniyasha in the front right. Against a backdrop of fluttering flower petals, the warm atmosphere of the companions gathered together amicably in traditional Japanese attire is beautifully expressed through soft, watercolor-like strokes.
Set during the Nanboku-cho period, the anime The World Is Dancing is a historical romance that follows the story of Oniyasha, a boy born into a family of Sarugaku performers, who would later create "Noh" theatre and become known as Zeami. Plagued by the question of "Why do people dance?", the story vividly captures how he encounters a "good" dance one day and expands his own world.
In response to the early streaming of the first episode and the release of this beautiful illustration, fans flooded social media with glowing praise, leaving comments such as "That was so interesting!!! I was shocked by how truly beautiful the art is and how smooth the animation moves," "The directing for Shirabyōshi's dance is incredible!! This is going to be an amazing anime," "What a lovely illustration," and "Wow... absolutely magnificent."
