Danko Meets Her Unique Teammates! Synopsis and Advance Cuts Released for Episode 1 of the Anime "Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko"

The synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 1 of the new anime "Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko" have been released.

Currently serialized in Shukan Corocoro Comic, "Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko" is the official sequel to "Honō no Tōkyūji: Dodge Danpei," which achieved overwhelming popularity in the 1990s. The manga's creator, Tetsuhiro Koshita, has historically sparked social phenomena through his works—igniting a dodgeball boom with "Honō no Tōkyūji: Dodge Danpei" and a Mini 4WD boom with "Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!". In 2022, he launched this new serialization centering on Danko Ichigeki (voiced by Manaka Nakayama), the daughter of the original protagonist Danpei Ichigeki (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi / childhood voiced by Noriko Hidaka). The series has garnered massive attention, primarily across social media, ever since its initial debut.

Advance streaming will begin on Anime Times and d Anime Store starting Monday, July 7, at 23:30. Furthermore, the series will become available sequentially on various other streaming platforms starting Thursday, July 10, at 23:30.

"Tōkyū" (Dodgeball)—the ultimate competitive ball sport where players channel their burning souls into a ball and hurl it at one another! Danpei Ichigeki, once known as the "Fireball Boy," took the dodgeball world by storm. Now, after more than 30 years, his daughter Danko is about to forge a brand-new legend... The dodgeball club at Tamagawa Elementary School—now reorganized as Tamagawa Elementary and Junior High School—was disbanded long ago due to a string of injuries during Danpei's era. Alongside her childhood friend Chinko, Danko approaches the principal to rebuild the club, only to be flatly rejected. But Danko isn't the type to give up that easily!
